These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of services by GPUFIX.CO.UK (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any customer (“you”, “your”). By submitting a device, purchasing a product, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

1. Diagnostic Services

1.1 Diagnostic Fee

A diagnostic fee is payable in respect of all devices submitted to us. This fee represents consideration for the technical assessment, handling, labour, expertise, and testing undertaken by our personnel. Diagnostic fees are calculated with reference to the nature and value of the device and are non-refundable, irrespective of outcome.

1.2 Inherent Risk of Electronic Repair

You acknowledge that the inspection, handling, and repair of electronic devices carries an inherent risk of component failure. Certain components, including but not limited to ball grid array (BGA) and silicon-based assemblies, may fail unpredictably during diagnostic or repair processes and may, in rare circumstances, render a partially functional device inoperable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from such inherent risks. Notwithstanding this, we employ industry-standard safeguards, including ESD-controlled environments, calibrated thermal procedures, regularly maintained equipment, and appropriately trained technicians.

1.3 Turnaround Estimates

Any turnaround times provided are estimates only and relate to the anticipated commencement of work. They do not constitute guaranteed completion dates. Additional time may be required for repairs, component sourcing, or post-repair testing.

1.4 Post-Diagnostic Authorisation

Upon completion of diagnostics, you will be notified of the identified fault and, where repair is feasible, the associated costs. No repair work shall be undertaken without your express approval.

1.5 Non-Repairable Devices

Where a device is deemed unrepairable, or where you elect not to proceed following diagnostics, we shall advise you of available options, which may include disposal of the device at an agreed cost or reassembly and return in its existing condition.

2. Repair Services

2.1 Payment

Full payment of all approved repair charges and replacement component costs must be received prior to the release or return of the device.

2.2 Replacement Components

Where replacement components are required, their cost shall be payable in addition to the base repair charge.

2.3 Standard of Service

All repairs are carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with section 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

2.4 Abandoned Devices

Devices for which no response or payment is received within 120 calendar days of the last communication shall be deemed abandoned. We reserve the right to recycle, dispose of, or sell such devices in order to recover outstanding costs. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact you prior to such action. You are responsible for notifying us in advance of any anticipated delay.

3. Shipping and Risk

3.1 Inbound Shipping

You are responsible for ensuring that all devices are shipped to us using a tracked and insured service. Risk of loss or damage remains with you until the device is received by us.

3.2 Outbound Shipping

All returned devices are dispatched using an insured service, with Royal Mail used by default unless otherwise agreed. We document the condition of devices prior to dispatch.

3.3 Shipping Costs and Charges

You are responsible for all inbound shipping costs and for any additional charges, including customs duties, import taxes, or courier surcharges. We accept no liability for delays caused by third-party carriers or customs authorities.

4. Warranty

4.1 Warranty Period

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, repairs are covered by a limited 90-day warranty commencing on the date of dispatch of the repaired device. The warranty applies solely to the specific fault repaired.

4.2 Warranty Service

Where warranty coverage applies, remedial repair will be carried out at no additional cost. You remain responsible for shipping the device to us; we will bear the cost of return shipping. Warranty repairs may be prioritised at our discretion.

4.3 Exclusions

Devices that have previously undergone third-party repair attempts are excluded from warranty coverage unless expressly agreed in writing. Prior repairs may compromise solder joints, PCB traces, or component integrity.

4.4 Voidance

The warranty shall be void if the device shows evidence of tampering, misuse, unauthorised modification, or physical damage, including but not limited to liquid metal application, missing mounting hardware, structural alterations, or impact damage.

5. Purchases and Refunds

5.1 Order Fulfilment

Orders placed via our website will be confirmed upon receipt and dispatched within the same working week where reasonably practicable.

5.2 Returns

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you may cancel and return eligible items within 14 days of receipt, provided they are returned in their original condition. We reserve the right to request photographic or video evidence prior to authorising a return.
5.3 Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Processing times are subject to payment provider timelines.

6. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or terminate service where devices are unsafe, non-compliant, or where customer conduct is abusive, unreasonable, or repeatedly in breach of these Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under English law.
Subject thereto, our total liability shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant service.

8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
